Overview
Do you enjoy visiting isolated natural sites, quiet trails and roads with little tourist traffic? Well, this is the perfect option to enjoy the beauty and sounds of the rainforest. The reserve has several trails for you to discover the magnificent waterfall that emerges from the heart of the forest. During our walk, we can see a rich diversity of wildlife. This is a tour for hiking enthusiasts.
What you will be doing
We leave La Fortuna for La Tigra, looking for Pocosol rangers station, where we take a route crossing mountains and canyons, enjoying incredible views of secluded places full of a rich peasant culture to finally reach the Children's Eternal Forest, a forest created by children, and for the children, of the world
The reserve has several trails, our favourite is to visit the Velo de Novia waterfall, a two-hour walk to discover the magnificent waterfall that emerges from the heart of the forest. During our walk we can see a rich diversity of wildlife, including birds, mammals, reptiles, and insects. This is a tour for hiking enthusiasts. There is also the option of exploring another trail.
On the way back to the station we can take a break at the lagoon, rest and take some photos and finish with lunch at the ranger station.

🗺️ Instructions: Hotels pick ups are included in the price. We pick up within a 5-mile perimeter around our La Fortuna Main Office. If your hotel is not included in the pickup list, or is located outside the pickup perimeter, an extra payment will be incurred for the pick-up service. In this case, the booking won't be completed until the extra payment is made.
