Your journey begins as you leave Santa Marta and head towards Aracataca. Upon arrival, your first stop is the school where Gabriel García Márquez learned to write. This visit provides a fascinating glimpse into the early days of his literary career.
The house of Gabo's maternal grandparents. This beautifully preserved home is where he was born and raised, offering insights into the environment that shaped his world-famous narratives.
A site integral to Gabo's life and works. You will also stroll through the Plaza de Bolívar, San Jose Church, and Camellón de los Almendros, each place echoing the essence of Gabo's beloved Macondo. A highlight of the tour is the monument to Remedios la Bella, a character from his iconic novel One Hundred Years of Solitude. The Railway Station, another significant landmark in his life, is also part of your journey.
