Overview
The most classic excursions in Granada: from Avellano to the top of Cerro del Sol along the Alarife path. This area is full of vegetation dominated by Mediterranean species such as holm oak, repopulated pine and some specimens of gall oaks, next to which is an abundant scrub of aromatic species. There are numerous ways to ascend to the summits of Cerro del Sol, such as the old road from the San Jose cemetery, the forest lanes behind the Silla del Moro and the Santa Elena hill path.
