What you will be doing
Here at La Rekompensa, delve into a comprehensive tour of the Banana Museum. This visit isn't just about observing- it's an interactive delight, offering tastings and insights into the cultivation and significance of bananas to the island’s agriculture and culture. The museum not only displays the fruits but tells their story, from flower to harvest
The ancient capital in the heart of Gáldar, you will feel the island's history envelop you. As the ancient capital, it's a place where pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago find solace and inspiration at the cathedral - a beacon of faith and heritage. This town is a living chronicle, echoing the traditions that are the soul of Gran Canaria
El Agujero offers two dining options: Restaurante La Caldosa, renowned for its seafood cuisine, and Bar Tu Mismo,a small eatery serving sandwiches and bocadillos. Alternatively, you can bring your own food and enjoy a meal by the natural rock pools, taking in the stunning ocean views
Submerge yourself in the contrasting forces of El Agujero, where the dramatic North Sea meets tranquil natural rock pools. Explore the underwater biodiversity of Gran Canaria through a snorkelling trial. After your aquatic adventure, the natural rock pools offer a peaceful retreat by the melodic tide. If tides or weather conditions do not permit the snorkelling activity, we will visit the charming coastal village of Sardina instead
The day's journey culminates at Faro de Sardina. As the sun sets, the silhouettes of the dragon tail mountains and Teide stand majestic against the twilight sky, a sight that captures the essence of the island's dramatic beauty.
