Overview
This 6-day tour will introduce you to Peru’s cultural and historical highlights. Starting in Lima, you’ll explore its historical centre before travelling to the Sacred Valley to visit key Inca sites such as Pisac and Ollantaytambo. A visit to Moray and the Maras salt mines, along with a traditional pachamanca meal, provides a glimpse into local traditions. The trip culminates with a guided visit to Machu Picchu, a must-do when visiting Peru. This trip is booked on demand and can be customised to your preference.

What you will be doing
Upon arrival in Lima, begin your exploration with a visit to the historic city centre. Discover the impressive Lima Cathedral, the stately Government Palace, and the historic Casa Aliaga, one of the oldest colonial mansions in the city.
Fly to Cusco, the gateway to the Sacred Valley. Upon arrival, continue your journey to the Sacred Valley, where you'll be surrounded by stunning landscapes and ancient Inca heritage.
Today, we will explore the charming town of Pisac, known for its vibrant market and archaeological site. Next, visit the Ollantaytambo ruins, a majestic Inca complex. Afterwards, head to Chinchero, a picturesque village famous for its traditional Andean culture. Enjoy a relaxing picnic by the tranquil Laguna Huaypo, nestled in the mountains. In the evening, savour a dinner accompanied by a cultural performance celebrating Andean gods.
Start your day with a visit to the Maras salt mines and the agricultural terraces of Moray, an ancient Inca agricultural research centre. Experience the local traditions by visiting a peasant community preparing the famous Andean dish, pachamanca. Then, transfer to Ollantaytambo station to board the scenic train to the town of Machu Picchu.
Today, embark on a guided tour of the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Explore its iconic structures, terraces, and breathtaking views. Afterwards, take the train back to Ollantaytambo Station and return to Cusco.
On your final day, transfer to the Cusco or Lima airport for your departure flight.
