What you will be doing
Upon arrival in Carhuaz, explore the city's highlights, including Carhuaz Plaza and Nuestra Señora de Mercedes Church. Take a short hike to Del Diablo Rock and Bruja Armanán Waterfall for scenic views.
Begin with a visit to the Carhuaz Main Plaza and a tasting of local artisanal ice creams. Explore the stunning Cancaracá, Contrahierbas, and Yanaraju lagoons. Head to the Chacas District to admire Ugo de Censi Plaza, traditional Andean architecture, and the renowned Don Bosco artisan workshops.
Journey to Querococha Lagoon and pass through the Kawish Tunnel to reach the Chavín archaeological site. Explore its iconic features, including the Lanzón Monolítico and underground galleries, before visiting the National Museum of Chavín.
Travel through the Callejón de Huaylas, framed by the snow-capped White and Black Mountain Ranges. Visit the Campo Santo of Yungay, a memorial to the city buried by the 1970 earthquake. Continue to Huascarán National Park to explore Chinancocha and Orconcocha lagoons at an altitude of 3,850 meters
Start with breakfast in the Marcara District, followed by a visit to the Chancos thermal baths. Discover the Vicos Peasant Community and embark on a trek in Huascarán National Park, visiting the Frozen Lagoon, Rocutuyoc Lagoon, and the Paccharuri Waterfall.
Transfer to Anta Airport for your departure flight, concluding your Andean adventure.
