What you will be doing

Day 1 - Lima

Upon your arrival in Lima, begin your journey with a visit to the renowned Larco Museum, where you can admire an exceptional collection of pre-Columbian art and artefacts. In the evening, we'll have dinner at one of Lima's top-rated restaurants, offering a taste of the city's vibrant culinary scene.

Day 2 - Ica - Paracas

Travel to the Paracas region and embark on a boat trip to the Ballestas Islands, where you'll encounter an array of wildlife. Later, visit the stunning oasis of Huacachina, nestled amidst towering sand dunes, and explore the scenic Pisco Route.

Day 3 - Arequipa

Arrive in Arequipa and take a guided tour of the city's historic centre, including the Plaza de Armas and the impressive Santa Catalina Monastery, a colourful architectural gem.

Day 4 - Arequipa - Colca

Journey towards Colca Canyon, passing the majestic Chachani and Misti volcanoes. Explore the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home to herds of vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas. Visit the picturesque villages of Callalli, Sibayo, and Tuti to immerse yourself in the local culture.

Day 5 - Colca Canyon

Explore more of the Colca region with visits to the charming villages of Maca and Pinchollo. Stop at the Cruz del Condor and Tapay viewpoints for breathtaking views of the canyon and condors soaring overhead. Discover the village of Yanque and hike to the pre-Inca ruins of Uyu Uyu.

Day 6 - Colca - Arequipa

Before returning to Arequipa, visit the Achoma community, where you can learn about traditional Andean customs. Afterwards, transfer back to Arequipa for an evening at leisure. Day 7: Arequipa - Cusco - Sacred Valley: Fly from Arequipa to Cusco, then continue your journey to the Sacred Valley. Along the way, stop at the village of Pisac, known for its vibrant market and Inca ruins.

Day 8 - Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu

Explore the Sacred Valley's highlights, including the Maras salt mines, the Inca agricultural terraces of Moray, and the traditional Misminay community. Visit the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, then board a scenic train ride through the Urubamba Valley, arriving in the town of Machu Picchu.

Day 9 - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Begin your day with a zigzag bus ride to Machu Picchu, the iconic Lost City of the Incas. Enjoy a guided tour of this world-famous archaeological site before returning to Cusco.

Day 10 - Cusco - Puno

Board the luxurious Andean Explorer train for a scenic journey from Cusco to Puno, crossing the beautiful Andean highlands. Upon arrival in Puno, transfer to your hotel and unwind for the evening.

Day 11 - Puno - Uros - Taquile - Amantani

Embark on a boat trip to the Uros floating reed islands, where you'll discover the unique way of life of the Uros people. Continue to Amantani Island for a cultural experience, exploring local homes and visiting the ancient Pachamama and Pachatata temples.

Day 12 - Amantani - Puno

Hike across Amantani Island, observing local traditions and enjoying panoramic views. You'll have the opportunity to purchase handmade textiles, stonework, and other artisanal crafts. Return to Puno for an evening at leisure.

Day 13 - Puno - Lima

After breakfast, transfer to Juliaca and catch your flight back to Lima. Enjoy some free time in the capital city or use this opportunity to explore more of Lima's historical and cultural offerings.
