Overview
Sloth is one of the most emblematic animals of Costa Rica. These small and friendly creatures are sweet and beautiful, and always appear to be happy, with an eternal smile painted on their faces. We would love for you to join us for a short hike through the secondary rainforest to try to spot them. This trail is only 2 km. (1.25 miles) long and is designed with the entire family in mind. It is very common to spot these small mammals hiding among the vegetation. But our guides know all their secrets and tricks! We will also learn interesting facts about some of the fabulous plants we spot along the way. Due to its location and type of flora, this trail is also heavily populated with birds. To complement a morning or afternoon full of wildlife, we will be able to appreciate many species of birds in the area.

About your host
Jacamar Naturalist ToursWe started operations in 1996, in La Fortuna and San Carlos, and was a pioneer in the tourist development of the area, offering some of the first walks to the Arenal Volcano in an organised way. The experience gained through these years allows Jacamar Naturalist Tours to integrate and train some of the best naturalist guides in the country and explore the best tourist destinations with them. As we mature and expand, we maintained the same philosophy of sustainable tourism in each destination, always making a concerted effort to promote the conservation of nature and culture.
For every trip booked, Kodama Travel donates £1 to Just One Tree to restore our forests and the ocean.
