Overview
Spend more time exploring two of the most remarkable places in England on this day trip from London: Windsor and Stonehenge. On this tour, you will have ample time at each location and for lunch. We will start from London and head to the ancient and mysterious Stonehenge, where entrance is included. This is possibly the UK’s most well-known historical monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, we will visit Windsor, including Windsor Castle. Here you will wander through the grand state apartments of a working castle and see where heads of state & monarchs still meet.
What you will be doing
We offer 3 pick-up points located in central & west London, all of which are easy to reach by public transport. You can choose to meet us at whichever pick-up point is most convenient for you.
After our London pick-ups, we make the journey to Stonehenge by coach. Your tour guide will entertain you with historical highlights of Stonehenge.
Here you’ll have free time to explore the stone circle from the designated path as well as the visitor centre. Audio guides, which are provided by Stonehenge in a variety of languages, are included with the entrance ticket. As these are provided subject to availability, we encourage you to bring along some headphones, as the audio commentary can also be downloaded as a mobile phone app.
Your tour guide will help you to find your way inside Windsor Castle (entrance is included). There will be approximately 3hrs to explore Windsor Castle’s state apartments, St George’s Chapel & Queen Mary’s Dolls House at your own pace with a multimedia guide provided by Windsor Castle, subject to availability.
This is the approximate time that we will depart Windsor to head back to London, but your tour guide will advise you of the exact time to meet back at the coach on the day.
Please note that there can be some traffic travelling back into central London.
