Overview
Peaceful. Immersive. Intimate. Kayaking through the swamp is truly the ultimate swamp experience. We will be exploring some of the largest and most beautiful second growth cypress trees in the country within the historical Atchafalaya basin. Join us in our discoveries that will tap into all of your senses and come away with a new appreciation and knowledge of our beautiful Louisiana swamps, Cajun culture, and the native wildlife that dwells within.
What you will be doing
We will meet at a local gas station. You will follow the guide a few minutes down the road to park your vehicle.
The tour guide will provide a brief introduction on safety and instructions on handling the kayak for a smooth paddle. The guide will assist with entering the kayak and ensure your comfort.
You will then explore the cypress forest as the tour guide shares his knowledge of the area. You will unload at the same landing with the assistance of the guide.

🗺️ Instructions: We’ll meet at Dales Trading Post, located at 33115 Hwy 75 Plaquemine LA 70764. Please arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure a prompt departure. (There is a restroom on the premises, but we are NOT responsible for the cleanliness of the restrooms.)

Children under 8 must be accompanied by a parent. A tandem kayak is available per request.
Life Jackets: Life jackets are required at all times. We provide properly fitted life jackets for all participants.
Health Considerations: Ensure you are in good physical health to participate. If you have any medical conditions or concerns, please consult your doctor before booking.
Weather Conditions: Tours may be rescheduled or cancelled for extreme weather. Safety comes first.
Alcohol & Drugs: No alcohol or drugs are permitted during the tour. Participants must be sober for safety reasons.
Wildlife Safety: Respect local wildlife and maintain a safe distance. Do not approach or disturb animals.
Proper Footwear & Attire: Wear closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, and clothing suitable for wet conditions.
