Overview
Experience the amazing Yellowknife! With 7+ stops, there is something for everyone. With so much to see and do, this tour offers an unforgettable experience for all ages. Not only will you immerse yourself in the rich history and vibrant culture of this northern gem, but you'll also get a taste of its unique charm and natural beauty.
What you will be doing
Once we have picked you up from your accommodation, our tour begins by proceeding to the Northwest Territory Legislature. Here, we delve into the workings of our non-partisan government and shed light on significant historical and present-day events in our area.
Learn about our mining heritage
If you're a fan of Ice Pilots, the next destination will surely impress you as we explore the Buffalo Hangar 'Home of the Ice Pilots,' and browse through their distinctive gift shop. (Stop not available on Saturdays)
A visit to Yellowknife wouldn't be complete without exploring the local wildlife. We visit Nature's North Wildlife Gallery, home of a Grolar or Pizzly, a cross between a polar bear and grizzly bear, to discover a variety of Northwest Territory species north of the 60th parallel.
Later, we'll watch a brief film at the NWT Diamond & Jewellery Centre to discover why Yellowknife is known as the 'Diamond Capital of North America'. We'll head over to the Yellowknife Visitor Centre. (If time permits.)
A charming historical neighbourhood
During the winter months from January to March, there is an opportunity for us to drive on the ice road and visit the ice castle (subject to yearly weather conditions).
To conclude our tour, you can choose to be dropped off at Old Town for further exploration, where you can savour a delightful meal at Bullocks Bistro (reservations recommended), or we can transport you back to your accommodation
